Lapland - the Land of the Midnight Sun
Above the arctic circle in the far north of Sweden you can enjoy the sun at midnight during the peak of the summer. This land is home to the Sami people, who has lived from and near the reindeers for thousands of years. In the past following the reindeer herds in a nomadic life style, today using scooters, helicopters and the latest technology to keep track of their animals. The landscape is sculpted by ice, wind and water with majestic softly curved snowy mountains and widespread bogs. It is a land of breathtaking beauty that attracts adventurers and hikers as well as everyone who wants to experience the golden light of the Midnight Sun in the summer, the fire coloured autumn leaves and the magic light waves of the Aurora Borealis in the winter.
